Bighorn Painting First Stage

You can click on the drawing to see a larger version
8″ x 10″ (20.3cm x 25.4cm) acrylic on hand primed (archival) board.

This is the first stage of the Bighorn painting where background color is laid in, the images are roughed in and contrasts are established. We observed these sheep almost at twilight so I wanted to set the light for that time of day. Keep watching for the next stage of development.
