Berry Picking

“Berry Picking” 5” x 7” (12.7cm x 17.8cm) acrylic on gessoed Masonite®.
For purchase see Notice below.

Does anyone remember picking raspberries and blackberries in the field? When I was a kid, each year our family would find berry patches and take home lots of berries. The result was fresh berries to eat but also canning, preserving, and making jam and jelly. Does anyone still do this? These came from a patch near the pond behind our house. They are great on cereal in the morning.

Notice: Many of the paintings I’ll be doing this month are intended for an exhibition in Ann Arbor in late August through October, so anyone purchasing this painting will have to wait until October to take possession of it. Email wolberinchina@hotmail.com if you’re interested in a purchase.

This is a belated wildflower started for the Daily Painters theme painting. I began this painting before my vacation break but was unable to finish it until now. I'm back in the studio and will continue to post on a more regular basis. In the Michigan county where I live the tiger lily grows wild along railways and many suburban highways. It's easy to find large tracts of these within a few miles of our home.
Thanks for all the emails you've sent while I was gone. I'll try to answer all of them as quickly as possible.
